OK I HAVE NO TIME I HAVE TO GO BACK STUDY K? I HAVE A 8 HOUR EXAM ON WEDNESDAY (not a joke) AND I NEVER HAVE TIME. EXCEPT that I managed to finish NWN 2 ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Seriously though, Flax and I wanted to make a module for this game, just for fun (nothing too ambitious). I'm in the process of relearning how to use the toolset (I used to know for NWN 1, but it was ages ago). Anyone interested in participating ? We would need 1-2 guys working on building the areas, writing scripts and triggers, designing the skeleton over which others may add details (hardest and longest part). Then, we need 1 guy (girl ?) to write a basic storyline, to write dialogues, to present his ideas to the building guys so that they may work on his wishes. That makes a total of 2-3 people ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . Should be enough for a non-ambitious project. Me and Flax count as 2, so a third person helping would be greatly appreciated. If more want to join. then all will be happy. Feel the love generation. Banzai

Sleep is a luxury.
Now, Mr. Flax has communicated with me his desire to work on area building.
If no one wishes to, I can work on storyline and dialogue.
We'd still need someone to improve scripts/triggers. I can tinker with these for now, unless Flax wants to try them out.
Let's get this project started peeps (= Flax). Let's make a test area. Why don't you build me a little outdoor forest area with a sexy damsel in distress in front of her house (filled with terrible lizardmen). So, you'd also have to make a little indoor area with a few lizardmen.
I'll take care of a test dialogue with the girl (asking for help), I'll try to test the journal and quest features too.
Once we're done messing around with that, I guess we can get started on a serious module.

My will was not done. You failed.
How can you expect a full project to work you little one-toed nipple-sucking mongrel if you are so slow !
You are excommunicated.
May God forgive you.

Meh, tried working on it, the editor is as intuitive and pleasant to use as the interface in the game. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) I can't even place a door!!! Its a struggle to get anything done. I'm almost tempted to go back to the NWN 1 editor, at least it worked well...

Do what you can, and leave the rest, I want to start working on something.
If you can't figure out something, tell me. I'll try to figure it out and explain it to you. For doors, as far as I remember from NWN 1, they were supposed to fit automatically on presets which can accept doors (like door entrances from houses). If they don't, then may god forgive us.

ok, I checked for the doors, and it's exactly like NWN 1. You simply place a tile with a doorset, and you stick a door in. You can move the door around with the arrow keys if its position doesn't please you.
What problem are you having with the door ?

The doors refuse to be placed, I understand how to make the transition to areas using door, but I can't place them, this is getting frustating.
Also the camera is pure crap IMO, I litterally feel I'm fighting against the toolset mediocre interface to get something done, not pleasant at all.

What do you mean the doors refuse to be placed ? Once you have a preset which can accept a door, you simply have to choose a door and fit it in the empty door space. Simple as that. I tried it, and it works just fine.
For the camera, it's a pretty standard interface. It's not intuitive, but it's supposedly good when you know the hotkeys. I don't like it either.
Anyway, this is taking too much time, if you're having problems with the doors, just leave the spaces open, and I'll try to explain to you by phone or by msn. Just... give me anything plzzzz.
