She was deep in the trance, nevertheless she felt the strong hands which took her, in part due to her acute senses and in part due to the rough handling of her body. Lost in between her subconscious and consciousness, unable to come out of the trance for fear of dying from her substancial injuries, she waited. Seconds blurred into minutes and minutes blurred into hours as she was half carried, half dragged through the stony corridors, the agony of her injuries overwhelming the majority of her senses.
The movement suddenly stopped and she felt herself beign lowered in some sort of boxed shape apparatus. One or more muddled voice spoke, she could tell the difference, neither could she understand what was said, the words, like everything else, were just out of reach. Nevertheless, she felt the lid closing on her until she was boxed in before being pushed even further back in her subconscious.
Darkness surrounded her, she felt the wind rushing by her as she fell into oblivion. An eternity passed until she found herself in a small house, sparsely furnished and with a very open design. Memories tumbled into her mind and as hazy as they were she could only make out a few, but she recognized this place. She had lived here as a child; she saw her younger self running out of the house laughing and she followed. The sliding doors parted as she stepped unto a veranda and the child started to dance around her as she absorbed the sight before her with nostalgia. Below her was the crystal clear lake where she used to swim every night and around her, the lush forest, home of her many childhood expeditions...
Something was out of place, this was all wrong. The child stopped dancing and laughing. She never had a childhood on her home planet, she had been taken by the Jedi as a babe, she had never experienced any of these memories, and yet she had often dreamed of such memories. Her last thought worried her, questions pourred into her mind, she couldn't begin to answer any of them. A small troathy laugh came from behind her and she chided herself for letting her guard down. As she turned on her self she met with a well dressed but lanky male of her species:
- Took you long enough, but didn't you want to enjoy your « memories » a bit more? He added before chuckling.
- Who are you and what do you want with me? What are you doing here? Where are we? She asked as she shot him with question after question, her growing confusion obviously apparent.
- My, my, full of questions aren't you little Jedi?
- If you won't answer me, then I'll take care of it my self! She said before extenting her senses into him, but she never got there. Inches before reaching the man she was propelled back into her body which in turn rammed the veranda's low fence.
- Tsk, tsk, tsk. That wasn't very nice, now was it? I'd rather my thoughts stay my own.
She now felt his presence keenly, like a ripple in the perfect pond of serenity that was her mind. She would get rid of it, or she would die. She had set the stakes, she was in control, or at least thought she was. Her eyes closed, she rose with a deep breath and concentrated on the living currents all around her to push the menace away, away from her and away from her mind. When she opened her eyes he was still there, with a silly grin on his face.
Now, now, if you don't play nice I'll have to restrain you, and we wouldn't want to that. Would we?
Ignoring him she renewed her efforts, determined to push him out she dug deep into herself until she was one with the Force. A wave of force emerged from her and came crashing down on her tormentor, but as her first attempt it was to no avail, a barrier inches away from the man harmlessly deflected all the energy. He made no obvious move yet in an instant their surrounding changed to an underground dungeon. With a mere thought he flicked her into a wall where manacles clamped themselves around her extremities on their own volition. Stretched almost beyond her physical capacity along the cool stone wall, she was unable to move even an inch, she was helpless.
- Now my dear you'll stay here for the next century or so while I have some fun with your body, the man said with a smile as his features twisted into a mockery of himself, I can't wait to get started!
- You won't get away with this, the woman sneered as she struggled against her restraints.
Her captor merely laughed at her words and vanished from her sight. Alone in the darkness she fought a desperate battle against the manacles, yet everytime she called on the Force to help her, they would sap her strenght and her spirit, leaving her powerless and barely strong enought to maintain coherent thoughts. To her credit she struggled for almost six weeks before finally giving up.

The present... (7 Years after the Battle of Yavin)
Elani extended her senses as far as she could in the monastery and glimpsed hope. It had taken her almost a year to figure out what exactly was going on. It had taken her ten years to finally be able to use some of her powers without beign detected and systematicaly drained of all her strenght. With another decade she came to understand the makeup of the monatery and how to extend her senses throughout the complex. For the last four years she had waited such a moment, a score of people had entered the building and she followed their progress. She felt her captor do the same, where ever his mind extended she shadowed him and all the while he was nudging individuals towards her physical location, she scanned them carefully. During one such scan she felt a familiar presence, yet it was long before she found herself caught off. As she was pulled back into her body she did manage to impart one feeling to this individual, distress, and with this feeling she send out one word; « Help ».
In a moment she was back inside her body, chained to a wall in her consciousness with her deformed captor raging at her. For the first time in a quarter of a century she smiled.
