Taking a moment to aim, citing a short prayer to the guns machine spirit, this business shall be over.

As the skirmish continues, a dozen strong Adeptus Arbites patrol is spotted entering the now mostly empty market by every combatant who is not blind.
Corazon fires three more hellgun blasts, joining Reberiah and Hephaetus.
Reb's shot takes the remaining gunman in the chest, though he seems to mostly shrug off the hit.
Following his Captain's las shot, Hephaestus' bolter round catches the man on the side of his head, leaving it a bloody mess from the impact.
Finally, Corazon hits with all three shots, the first two in the chest, and the third in his right arm. The first hit cuts through the gunman's chestplate, scorching his body. The second one knocks him to the ground, leaving a smoking hole. The third and final hit, instantly turns the man's right arm into a cloud of ash. He finishes his falls by clutching at his new stump, spasming for a few moments before becoming very still.
By the time the gruesome scene is over, the Arbites patrol has moved into position near to the firefight. A heavyset Arbitrator-Sergeant motions for two of his men to grab the gunman still clutching his seared face. He then approaches Reberiah, Hephaestus and Corazon.
(Reb deals 3 damage to Gunman #3) (Hephaestus deals 3 damage to Gunman #3) (Corazon deals 1 damage to Gunman #3 Corazon deals 2 damage to Gunman #3 Corazon deals 6 damage to Gunman #3)

"It seems that the cavalry has arrived." as Hephaestus reloads his Bolter then returns it into its holster under his cloak.

Reberiah holsters his gun and smiles at the Sergeant.
"Good afternoon Arbitrator. Words can't express how happy I am to see you and your men. We were just settling down to relax after a long trip when these men attacked us."

The burly Arbitrator sizes up Reberiah.
"Sorry about that, my Lord, fights are not uncommon in Port Wander, though it has been a long time since anyone has been bold enough to assault a personage of your stature."
He spots Reb's wound.
"With your permission my Lord, I would ask you a few questions back at the Precinct. Whatever injuries you and your personnel sustained will also be seen to."
It is clear in his demeanor, that if Reberiah or any of his crew do not wish to follow him, he will not press the issue.

"Perhaps following may lead to information about the attackers."

Reberiah looks at his companions for any sign of objection and nodsnods.
"Of course, Arbites. I'd be happy to help. Hopefully that one" he gestures towards the gunman being taken away by the Arbites' men "will be able to shed some light on why we were attacked.

The small groups travels through the market ward before arriving at an Arbites precinct at the edge of it. The gunman disappears into the bowels of the small fortress, surely to be questioned by skilled Arbites Interrogators.
The Arbites Sergeant meanwhile pulls out a dataslate.
"So err... I caught that you don't know who these men where, but maybe you have an idea why they would shoot up the markets like that?" He asks to no one in particular before quickly adding. "It would help."

"Ancestral Heirloom of the Rogue Trader" Hephaestus replied. "The heirloom was protected by a genetic seal, it appears the attackers were awaiting the arrival of the Lord Captain to retrieve and unseal the heirloom, believing that the heirloom must be of great fortune."
Hephaestus remained silent after giving his part. It provided enough information to explain the circumstances, but leaving no details on the object retrieved, that wasn't his place.

Reb started slightly at the mention of the heirloom but recovers quickly.
"They would be disappointed if they expected to make any money off of it, but if they're rivals of mine then taking me or one of my companions out would have been all the prize they could want."
